Hey, Crom is a girl? I thought Crom was A mountain, not two mountains (eh? eh?)
By mountains I’m referring to boobies. Hey, Myth is all about the freudian imagery.
Also: I’ve been reading up on Tolkien’s dwarves, and he has the seven first dwarves made by Aülé. They’re the Dwarven Lords (who get those spiffy seven rings later on). In this setting, what do you think of having the Seven Dwarf Lords being the patrons of the Seven Dwarven Kingdoms? At least the ancient kingdoms, before dragons and other beasts of darkness shattered their ancient homes, or something. This part of the world may only be aware of some of them, with one of them having disappeared (been captured by Vali or Illithids and turned into Duergar; ditto their Exarch-level patron), and the remainder searching out their lost Dwarven Lords. (just as background material to consider)
The Seven Dwarf Lords could be the ones who made Thor’s Hammer.
Also: who’s the patron of Wizards? Wotan (for old dudes with big hats) or Mystryl or Hecate (for dark magic) or more mysterious “old ones” who divulged the first secrets? Or the famed “counsel of Wyrms” exarch dragons, who taught the elves?
And for music and beauty (can I hear a Sune or Freya?)
A brief listing of the major players in the god pantheon for the new haven game
Suneirelling – god of dawn, sun, healing, bane of undead, patron of artistic talent. Worshipped by Justing Morning
Hermes – goddess of luck, travel, balanced chaos, flight. worshipped by Rastor
Loki – god of mischeif, lies, anarchy, deception.
Vali – god of revenge, hate, anger, maliciousness.
Hel – Goddess of the dead, caretaker of souls after they pass from the mortal plane.
Crom – goddess of the cold, of mountains, of war and survival.
Set – serpents, lies, the end of mankind, dwarvenkind, elvenkind, halflings and gnomes.
hephaestus – god of the forge, god of making (many dwarves worship hephaestus)
Forsetti – god of justice, peace, truth, honor.
Thor – god of war
