Moonday, the 8th of Willow

And praise be to the beautiful Goddesses, Kyone & Willow, for seeing us through the tricky traps that awful mountain had to offer. We arrived in East Passim at nightfall after a long day of walking. Thankfully, there were no other major rock incidents to speak of.

The city was eerily quiet for the dusk, and as we walked into the town center, a group of guards demanded why were out past curfew. Apparently, news of the war had started to spread through the land, the merfolk attacking the city only two nights prior. He pointed us off to the nearest inn..

.. But it was not quite a pleasant sight when we arrived. Inside the Tipsy Hen was a grizzly old man at the counter, a small pool of blood on the floor. The rest of the patrons seemed to be quiet and keeping to themselves, hardly looking up when we arrived. After talking with the man for a few moments, Zeldric managed to wrestle information about rooms from the man. All but Kovak decided to search for another inn, and we left him to eat pigeon salad.

The next inn had a few rooms to offer, so Zeldric and Azure took up residency there. It was of fair quality, but not quite what I had planned on.. I wanted a private room with my own shower, after all.

At arrival to the Blind Hat, an old man approached me. The poor soul seemed to be rather senile, and tried to sell me magic beans. I thanked him for his kindness, and refused the beans. I feared what they might be, and as I am not familiar with beans, I decided not to take the chance. The inn was quiet and had many rooms to offer. The rest of our group chose to stay here, as I did myself. I’m so glad that I did… My meal consisted of deliciously tender duck and lentils, with wine and rhubarb pie for a bit of desert. After my delightful meal, I retired to my room and showered away all the filth and grime from the long journey.

The cool evening breeze brings tales of nothing, the sky at peace for now..
