Wildern
Out of all the different elves of Necca, the Wildern have the most contact with other races. The Wildern elves treasure nature much more than their Ventosa cousins, believing every part of nature and every living thing deserves some respect and reverence.
Personality: The Wildern elves are far more tolerant than the Ventosa and are generally polite to those they come into contact with. They tend to have an optimistic view of life, believing everything happens for a reason. They do still have some elven pride and conceit, believing themselves to be the true caretakers of forests.
Physical Description: Wildern have angular facial features and pointed ears. They fall within the boundaries of Medium size but fall a bit shorter than their Ventosa cousins, typically standing between 5 and 6 feet tall. Their skin ranges between dark and fair and their eyes are typically blue. Their hair color varies over a wide range of colors and it is not uncommon to find Wildern with black, white, red or blonde hair. They are not as graceful as their cousins, but are more lithe and muscled.
Relations: The Wildern get along quite well with other races. They are widely accepting of other races and generally enjoy learning all they can about them. Other races are equally accepting of the Wildern, with the exception of the Ventosa who view this accepting nature as a weakness. On occasion the Wildern love of nature can cause tensions with those involved in logging or other similar activities.
Wildern Lands: The Wildern originally come from the continent of Sofieros in the forests of Shri Nelanos. Many long years ago, they migrated to Maanosa and made a home there as well in the Hinterwald, settling mainly in their city of Two Rivers. The cities of the Wildern are less structured than those of the Ventosa. Rather than building homes on the ground and forcing the forest to yield to them, the Wildern make their homes in the trees, following the flow of the forest. There are four different tribes of Wildern. They are the Red Fang, Yellow Serpent, Black Hand, and Green Mist. The Red Fang and the Green Mist both reside in the Hinterwald of Maanosa while the Black Hand and the Yellow Serpent can be found among the forests of Shri Nelanos. There are Wildern that don’t belong to any of the tribes, wanting to separate themselves from the squabbles between the tribes.
Religion: The Wildern follow Kyone as their primary deity but also offer prayer to Willow. Knowing both deities work together to bring beauty to Necca, the Wildern do not ignore either of them.
Language: The Wildern speak Wildonian, which is similar to Ventosan, but less formal. They also speak common, enabling them to communicate well with other races.
