The Red Guard are the personal, elite military force of the High-King of Old Harkuna. They are a small, highly trained unit. The members of the Red Guard are generally exceptional men selected from the ranks of the regular Old Harkunan military. They engage in covert operations, in training operations for the certain militant groups (rumor has it that they have supplied training to the Sokarran Rebels), in spearheading assaults, and in protecting the High-King himself. To be a member of the Red Guard is a high distinction, but they are forbidden from revealing their position while they are a member of the Guard, and they are discouraged from speaking of it, even after they leave.
