During the second world war The Manhattan project was the top secret experiment that lead to the creation of the Atomic bomb.  Many of those scientists  came together to create a think, a place where they  could invent things for the betterment of mankind.They named this place after the experiment to remindthemselves of what they had done and why they no longer designed weapons of such destructive force.
