Aria 30, lathlander 1 1877 4th age

The Stormcrows regrouped yet again, changing spells for underwater combat and other assorted things. While looking about the structure and the moat about it, it was noticed that there was a boxy like structure at the bottom of the moat in back and it was noted that the group could see streams of water like jets in a jacuzzi coming out of it. Their curosity piqued, Lothar went under the water and began to chip away about the opening which was about the size of a gold dollar. He could feel water eminating from the opening at a fairly strong rate.

The group went in casting water breathing on Lothar and he went down only to find that Veranos was still alive and cast lightning bolt at Lothar. He took the full effect of the lightning bolt and retreated. Further discussion ensued.

Finally Hyorn rutherford cast a stone shape and released a bottle from the stone surrounding it. Much experimentation with spellcraft rolls and the group figured out how to control the water coming that was eminating from the bottle.

Nuna opened the valves that they noticed about the bottom of the moat and found that the water drained out. Satisified that they would not be fighting underwater the Stormcrows went back in. Two earth elementals and a large beetle were summoned to combat the golems. Lothar went back down and again attacked Veranos.

Lothars attacks overwhelmed Veranos and he took the body outside. In the meantime the golems and summoned creatures were pummeling each other. Flooks beetle began to drag the book out of the room.

As the fighting continued in the bottom, the stormcrows on the surface noticed a large black shape in the sky. As it flew lower, it was determined that it was a black dragon and a rider. The rider spoke to the group with a accent indicating that his name was Caleb and he too was looking for the particular book. He made indication of a negotiation to be had. He landed a distance away and met with Flook. Caleb indicated that he knew of two of the locks and had the answers for them. Caleb allowed for Flook to speak with his group. Hyorn wanted nothing to do with Caleb for he was an evil person. In the end, the group ran back into the structure, put up a force wall across the entryway and teleported away.
