Gunter and Ansirius

April 18, 2008 02:37

Latlander 20th 1877 4th age

Gunter waited in the darkness for his captor to come. He had been blindfolded and knew that he was not back in Firenz but somewhere nearby. Marelle, perhaps. He would be silent until spoken to. He heard the sound of heavy boots coming down stairs. He heard the sound of keys being inserted into a heavy door and being pushed open. He heard the voices talking, he had a item which allowed him to comprehend languages and he understood everything that was being said. There seemed to be some confusion and disagreement. The voice that he knew was Otto was the one with the most confusion. “He is not a gnome but he knew everything else that the gnome was supposed to know.” Another said, “perhaps the machine changed him as it sent him away” Gunter was shocked for he remembered the voice. It was the priest that was going to eliminate him as he had so many others. A third voice, in a accent that suggested the Green Isles, said simply let us talk to him.

The blindfold came off but the shackles were not removed. There were three men in the dimly lit cell. Otto, he knew but the others, one was a priest of Gond, by the mask on his face, the other was dressed in light armor and had a sword and dagger. The light armored one spoke to Gunter. “You are Gunter?” Gunter nodded. “My name is Duncan and as you can see there are three of us. Otto, you have met, the priests name is Kristoff and he saved you from extinction in the chambers.” The priest asked if you changed because of the device. Gunter shook his head no. The priest moved up and was face to face with Gunter. Gunter could see all the craftwork that went into the mask. “So how did you change?” Gunter could sense the curiousity of the priest but refused to answer.

Duncan spoke again. “Forgive our heavy handed ways but we needed to get you back to where you came from to perhaps save your people.” Gunter listened as Duncan spoke…..

Ansirius wasn’t happy about the situation that he was in. Having something inside him preventing him from going very far away and being stuck here baby sitting the miners. A trial awaited him for the murder of two men who were brutalizing another. He spent much time each day praying and awaiting an answer from Tyr. Several days after the group left to gather more miners and men to work the mine, Ansirius Elliot Stabler had a visitor. It was Brother Joshua. Ansirius Elliot Stabler had great joy in his heart and greeted his old friend. Brother Joshua told Ansirius that he would be the judge of his upcoming trial. He had to remain neutral in the proceedings but had a recommendation of a legalist to defend him. Victoria, who had bailed him from jail, had a meeting with brother Joseph and knew where to find him. Ansirius Elliot Stabler had many questions to ask…
