A great deal of fluctuation in wealth and population can occur due to the semi-nomadic tribes in the area.

The winds blow hard through the empty skies at Tek’Unlu. The savage razor grass of the Yun’lou Plains tears at the will of the sturdiest steed. But every warrior must make his way to the Two Moons and stare into the depths of nothingness. For a man knows not what he is until he knows just how little he is.

At the edge of the twin crescent canyons you can hear the cries of the spirits from the other world. You can feel the wind coming from the depths of infinity—embracing your courage. To stare and give thanks strengthens your will, to wail before the edge cleanses your mind, to humbly sit and think gives you strength…to dive to the other side and climb back up gives you the power of the gods.

~Jundar’Skeld Totem Master of the Sunsweep Tribe

Resting on the northern end of the Yun’lou Grasslands, just to the southeast of the Kinwah Jungle and presenting the vista of the Simbon Mountains to the north, Tek is a strange town of tents, huts, and stone buildings. The strangest features are two very deep flanking crescent-moon chasms in the center of town. Tents and huts surround the chasms in a seemingly haphazard manner giving the town a look of multicoloured patches similar to a gypsy caravan. Horses, cattle, goats, and chickens roam the streets unattended while the populous goes about its daily life. Vendors perch and build their shanty businesses right on the edge of the twin crescent chasms: and in some cases hang down into it. There are several pedestrian bridges spanning the narrow canyons and many people sit on the edge in reverent prayer.

On the east end of town there is a substantial gated community with many stone homes and a large church facing the front entrance to the neighborhood. A keep just north of the church flies the banner of the Lantern Knights. Plot after plot of well tended farmstead extend well off into the distance down the Northhaven Road that heads toward Respite.
