The Promised Land of Shadwyr
Since the loss of Byblios we have known no peace, nor any permanent home. Let this land be what we have long sought: a place of our own. From it we shall plant the seeds of our people so that they might blossom as was always our destiny.
from a decree by Caliph Hassan ibn Fashaad, dated 987th cycle of The Mysteries.
It is said that Shadwyr was built in the image of Byblios. Every stone carefully considered, every street carefully laid. Considering the fate of that ancient city it is no wonder then that the Drelorians guard it so jealously, even from the very eyes of outsiders.

Never had Sir Clevoy seen a more beautiful city. Its airy palaces and temples rose to splendid heights. The gardens overflowed with beauty and abundance from the high-walled, elegant houses of the people. The markets were busy, but had none of the noise and tumult of those he was used to. About the wide, cobbled streets people moved with a slow, nearly contemplative grace.
At once he longed to walk amongst them, but he knew beyond doubt that to be found here would mean a certain and gruesome death.
