New to the website. found your game on the map, I live near the boardwalk. any extra info would be appreciated, especially if looking for more players.
you can contact me at my email -> Lincoln.geertsen@gmail.com. at my facebook -> Lincoln Geertsen. or of course, here.
any extra info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I have to admit that I am getting a little tired of Cedric. I want to try and play a Wizard, or I want to re-imagine my Torund character. On the other hand, we have a sweet story going.
I replied:
Of course, the Burning of Trader’s Rest was a big deal. It has yet to be rebuilt. There have been black eagle feathers found all winter, in town as well! People generally like to call them good luck tokens, but others aren’t so sure.

I would like to propose that By Steep Creek village (or Under Skull Point village) was a larger village about 20 miles (about a day or so) south from Delver’s Dale which was also a common caravan stopping point. About 3 years ago, it started experiencing hard times – goats dying and going missing, the barely fields failing, and then the raids started. Unlike previously, when raids only happened in winter (frozen river enabled access by beastmen), now raids were happening all the time. People started find huge, black “eagle feathers” (they can’t be raven feathers, they’re too big), but no one ever saw anything.
It was only in Summerfinding, in the Year of Four Dragons (6 months before our story started), that people saw a large smoke plume coming from By Steep Creek Village. When help arrived, the place was still burning, empty.

The village below Skull Keep had been burned down for years. The evil of Skull Keep is insidious. Vultures circle the peak endlessly. This would be perhaps the boldest strike the beastmen had ever made, so close to the town.
A young warrior of Sir Bors was closely following the tales of the Brotherhood in their time prior to departing for the audience of Sir Trousdale with the lady.
Silently he drank in Twill Bell’s tales of their adventures. Reverently he absorbed the Finch’s soaring oratory regarding the Lady and Rhiannon.
A exceedingly handsome figure with dark hair and a slight point to his ears, outing his mixed blood. Known among the clerics as Gift Eamon. The soldiers simply called him Gaz’s halfbreed. Or, boy.
Here we may have game conversations, either in character or meta. Begin character talk with “PC name:”
One subject that has come up is that some people would like to move the storyline forward in time to the spring in order to justify all the levelling and just plain ease off the pace a bit, something which is harder to do in-session. Returning to Delver’s Dale to wait out the winter WILL require some detailed RPing, but then I would be happy to move the action forward, depending on the outcome. When the party returns to town however, is up to them. Great gaming either way! Cheers!

The waiting is the hardest part. Waiting for the story summary, waiting for the next session. Hummmm.
I like how you guys are filling in the backstory for your characters. It gives me more to go on as well.
Steep Creek is the stream that enters the Eamon River at the Delver’s Dale front gate. This Trader’s Rest is down near Skull Point.

OOC – I would have thought that Erskin the Hoster would be at least a level 5 soldier. No wonder the Daha’s are beset on all sides.
Cool
I hadn’t seen this before.
