Legacy of Brutality

How the Gods Kill

D&D 4E

Curious Companions and Poor Workmanship

After winning a sizeable bet on a drinking contest, the celebratory round proved too much for me. The next day, I found myself with two new companions, the lunk and the lush. They were amusing enough, but somehow we ended up solving a murder! When we came to in an even more forsaken Barbarian town, the lunk grunted and belched at their local lord enough to be attacked! But it seems I misinterpreted this, because soon enough, after being hit and stabbed, they were embracing!

At any rate, we wandered around the small hamlet talking to the locals. I stopped curiously at a local smithy, and purchased some extremely crude weapons. They were sturdy enough, but had no finesse!

After solving the mystery, we finally did get down to something of interest! King so-and-so gave us each gold (boring) and a northern gem! I believe if I can get it back to my workbench, I should be able to cut it into a few actually nice pieces. I also got a halfway decent weapon. Might be nice with a little embellishment.

We shall see where the road leads next…
