This is quite literally the heart of the Forest on Praesentia, it is the home and capitol to the Elves of Vrandyor. Here resides the Council of Twelve, this council is the High Council that advises and helps the Ruler of the nation. Realisticly the Council is the ruling body of the nation with the Head of the Council the acting representative of the Nation. Even though there is still a Royalty and whom are kept in the highest regards, the ruling of the nation is kept to the council. The Royalty is more a traditional and public headpiece than anything.
The Council of Twelve actually has thirteen members, the Head being the thirteenth member. The current Head of the Vrandyorian Nation is: En-Leron

The Current Sovereign of the Elvish peoples is Queen Ari’iat, she has been the Queen for roughly 400 years, so she is still learning things in regards to her station. To outsiders it seems redundant to have a council and a monarchy, but it to the Elves it is important she is also the spiritual leader of the nation and for Elves that carries more weight than the political positions of the council. The immortality of the Elves is dependent on the the Monarch keeping to certain traditions and ceremony’s, if these were to ever fall or be abandoned it would be a cataclysmic event for the Elves. This is unknown to the common elf, with the only the council knowing about it.
The Queen has a specially assigned and hand chosen Queens Guard, there are several units which have a rotating shift so as to have ever refreshed active bodies protecting her.

The Guards Captain is Bael’tae a extremely competent and powerful fighter, a veteran from a dozen mercenary companies, he is also extremely neutral having no ties to this nation what so ever, he came over this world via an Elven friend and he has stayed since.
