Herbalism
At the beginning of each session a character that has the Herbalism feat can try to create a number of beneficial concoctions based on his herbalism points.
For each level a character has had the Herbalism feat they get 1 herbalism point per session which they must use or lose.
Saps cost 1 herbalism point.
Powders cost 2 herbalism points.
Infused Oils cost 3 herbalism points.
Salves cost 4 herbalism points.
In addition to spending the points on starting the concoction the character with the herbalism feat must also make herbalism checks to see if the concoction is made correctly.
Note: It is up to the GM’s discretion on whether or not the herb has been able to be gathered.
Herbalism Check: Some herbs are more difficult to make into particular concoctions and the check will reflect this. A Herbalism check must be made to see if the herb is found and gathered correctly. A second herbalism check is made to see if the concoction is made correctly.

Availability: This refers to the how common the herb is, what type of terrain it can be found on, the type of climate it can be found in and what time of year it can be found.
Preparation Type: There are four types of preparation for herbs.
The first is harvesting the sap from a plant or herb. This is often the easiest preparation method because the sap can be taken and immediately used.
Second is crushing a plant or herb into powder. The powder must be fine enough to inhale or mix with water and takes a good amount of manual work to crush it effectively.
The third is infused oil. The plant or herb is placed within oil for at least 24 hours before it is ready to use.
The last preparation type is a salve. This type is based on infused oil preparation with a thickener added to make it a paste. Salves are the most powerful form of herbalism.
Many herbs can be prepared in several different ways.
