The Edge of Twilight

As the group made its way into the mountains they came upon the ruins of small keep.
It is here that the Dogor Clan of kurgan dwarves settled while they helped continue to build the city of Baden Bluff during the end of the second age.
Granted to the dwarves was a stronghold, in what is now known as the Plague Hills, that fell into disrepair after too many of its former occupants (the Maelskar Family) lost their lives fighting in the north against the forces of Izrador.
The dwarves took over the stronghold and put their touches on it. It was refortified and, like dwarves are want to do, they began digging and further exploring and mining the grounds underneath the hill. Behind the stronghold they built there own dwarven hold where they discovered some cavern systems that were easily carved out and began one of the finest forges in all of Erenland. Many of the best human weapon and armor smiths came here to train under the dwarves.
The group decided to explore the ruins. They cautiously made their way into the courtyard and then split up to examine the grounds.
Khurran was off by himself searching through the rubble of a building when he was beset by an Ambush Drake. The Drake quickly pinned him into a corner and Khurran immediately went into defensive mode. Devin turned and quickly started firing arrows at the beast while Nezrin and Sharra charged into combat.
Khurran was wounded but managed to fend the Drake off until Nezrin got its attention by striking it hard on its flank. Sharra got a cut in with her axes and then Nezrin finished it off by pummeling the creature in the face.
Once the battle is over a small rest period is taken to tend to wounds. A trail behind the keep is found. Following the trail leads the group up the hill a little further and to a ledge containing some orc guards.
The party quickly gains the drop on the guards. Nezrin charges in and successfully kicks one of the guards over the ledge. The rest of the party moves in to dispatch the second orc. The group quickly finds out that overlooking the ledge from the right side are some arrow slits that are 8 to 10 feet off the ground.
Nezrin is wounded by the second orc but then Devin and Sharra kill the orc with some well placed arrows. Khurran quickly moves past the arrow slits and into a cavern that has marble steps and a set of double doors 10 feet tall. Nezrin, Devin and Sharra follow closely behind. However, there are arrow slits in this room too. The doors are partially open and the party moves through them to avoid becoming pin cushins for more archers.
