The Edge of Twilight

Once inside the door the party looks to catch its breath and regroup. On their left and right two large braziers blaze revealing a room with a large chasm and a rope bridge. It is the only way across.

Khurran feeling that the bridge may be old and not very stable suggests that a rope be tied around him and Nezrin be the anchor. Khurran begins to cross but half way across a bad situation develops.

Two orc archers reveal themselves from behind natural stone columns on the other side of the chasm and begin to fire arrows at Khurran. At the same time the sound of stone begins to grind and two secret doors open on the groups side of the ledge. Several orcs move out from their hidding places and attack.

Sharra quickly moves to her south. Her hand axes whirling she takes on the lone orc in that location.

Nezrin hands the rope over to Devin to make sure Khurran makes it back to them safely and then quickly moves to the north in an attepmt to pin the orcs in the passageway.

Charging the first orc Nezrin pushes it back into the secret hallway. He stands his ground there allowing Devin to cover Khurran as he finally makes his way back from the middle section of the rope bridge.

Sharra and her axes have taken care of the orc coming from the south. Quickly she reaches for her short bow and knocks an arrow, taking aim at the orcs across the chasm.

Khurran now back on solid ground makes his way north to Nezrin. Placing himself against the wall next to the doorway Khurran catches Nezrin’s eye ever so briefly and he understands that orcs should now be let out of the hallway. Stepping back Nezrin curses the orcs who then gladly charge him. With the orcs backs exposed to Khurran a well placed strike drops one without it ever knowing what hit it.

Meanwhile, Sharra has taken out one of the archers across the chasm prompting the other to drop its bow, draw it’s sword and move to the rope bridge.

Nezrin, with some quick moves and well placed hits finishes off the last orc in the north area.

Devin takes aim at the orc archer who is now franticly trying to cut the rope bridge. Sharra has taken her shots but she missed. Devin calming aims, one of the ropes is cut by the orc and as it raises its sword to cut the other Devin places an arrow squarely through its throat.
