Æsir: A race of humanity, originally hailing from Hyperborea, who have been imbued with super-powers from eating golden apples.

Aurelius: Title given to the one chosen to become Earth’s master mage- a magickal defender protecting humanity from the supernatural.

Dynasty: When a Neo-Sapien inherits their parent’s power and continues the family business, either in protecting this world or terrorizing it, the family becomes known as a dynasty. Some of the better known dynasties include Captain Canada and Lodestone but also include the Goodman family and the Manther family.

Esper: Rarely, normal humans exhibit extraordinary mental abilities that count them along these elite superhumans. The populace of espers is constructed of telepaths, illusionists and other such psionic individuals.

Fallen, the: Seven seraphim who fell from grace at one of two points in history. Lucifer, Abaddon, Asmodeus, Astaroth, Leviathan and Semyazza fell during the First Fall, the Fall of Pride. Samael fell centuries later during the Second Fall, the Fall of Lust.

Hyperborea: The eighth continent, now buried on the ocean floor. It was ruled by four noble families- each of which escaped their homeland’s devestation and became the basis for many cultures’ religions.

Mithral: A rare substance that is harmful to Nephilim, it appears to be a liquid metal, though its actual composition makes it akin to tektite.

Neo-Sapiens: A super-powered branch of humanity who can trace their lineage back to the Fallen.

Nephilim: The children produced as a result of the Fallen’s mating with humanity. All Nephilim are capable of channeling hellfire. Their children might manifest their own abilities as Neo-Sapiens.
