The city is governed by a Lord Mayor who is appointed by the Fuehrer to oversee the various committees that run the cities bureaucracy. The law is enforced by the Lux City Watch which is separated into two branches; the Watch patrols the city streets and investigates petty crimes and disturbances, the Overwatch is an elite military battalion that patrols the skies around the city and acts in situations that requires extreme force. The Overwatch is also able to conscript citizens and organize them into militias if the need ever arises. The Overwatch answers directly to the Lord Mayor while the Watch is governed by its own committees.

The Committees that run the city are known to be very corrupt as they are prone to bribery and back room deals with criminal elements of the city. Certain high ranking individuals in the Watch have also been accused of corruption. The Overwatch is responsible for dealing with internal problems like this, which stretches their resources between constant investigations and patrolling the skies; which allows criminal enterprises to flourish.
