As Jogaila looks over the edge at the incoming caravan, his arm, infused with power, prepares to push the ancient stone known as Mariner’s Rock, over the edge. Skal and his bandit group stands behind him, waiting to see if the band of four, which includes a Habrinel and a young girl, can actually succeed in capturing two caravans simultaneously.
Connor uses alter self to change himself into a welihuanian, a long dead race. As the caravan moves in, Jogaila picks up the rock and begins heading towards the seige weapon, while Thrush, below, fires into the leader of the first caravan. Jogaila throws the rock down, and a battle ensues. Upset that his plans were being disrupted, The True God sends a Skeletal Retribution to punish Watseka.
During the battle, the bandit, Ivar, leaps off the cliff onto a ushming full of qavikt wool. A goblin headed staff which belonged to the Oomingmak shaman that sent them on their way in the Himdal Hills. The remaining ushming have supplies for 40 for 30 days, 10 explosive kegs, and multiple weapons.
Djiri, The True God, pulls Watseka into their shared dream and tells her that she was mean for trying to take two ‘toys’, which he means races to play with. He demands that he was nice to give her one of her choice and that she should play nice.
Ivar and Skal discuss options as to how joining with Jogaila and his small group could be profitable. They join up with the remaining bandits and meet at the camp to continue deliberations, while they wait for the four to arrive. Jogaila attempts to gain control of the bandits, but Ivar pulls him aside to tell him to use brains rather than threats of violence. They manage to convince Skal that everything was his idea.
Ivar begins to speak with Watseka, telling he was sent to convince her that she needs to bide her time and be smarter about how to move forward, and to pick her battles. To stop being reckless.
The group meets back at the bandit with supplies, and begin to make plans to infiltrate Freeport and free those imprisoned in the concentration camps.
