The Goddess of Love is a conflicted and unstable deity, as of late, with the sweet and innocent aspects she used to embody being challenged by her recent history. Her love of Ortar, his subsequent denial and rape of her, her pregnancy with the prophesied son, and her son’s birth and murder of Ortar, the Goddess was simply unable to handle it all within her limited portfolio. The madness that she now embraces has quickly filtered down to her churches, with many of her priestess, The Brides, being unable to handle the change and killing themselves.
