The Holy Scriptures of the Morninglord

Who is our Lord?

He is the God of Spring, of the Dawn and of Birth. He is the Lord of Renewal and the Master of Creativity. He provides the energies of Youth, of Vitality, of Self-Perfection and of Athletics. The Morninglord is the essence of Goodness and Vigor, Nobility and Honor, Protection, Renewal, Strength, and Sun.

Our Lord favors those who actively fight against the wretched undead and aid others through healing, protection or counsel. He blesses those who plant new life, and His rays of vitality and perfection warm the faces of the Good.

Those who have seen the Dawn are of varied backgrounds and professions, but they tend to strive for creative positions and they almost always gravitate toward the Spring cycle of Life – Birth, the Dawn, Renewal.

In some Churches, clergy of the Morninglord are called Awakened – they have, in essence, awakened to a new Dawn. They gain the title of Dawnbringer as they become full Priests. In ascending order of rank, Dawngreeter, Dawnlord, High Dawnlord, Dawnmaster, Morninglord, High Morninglord, Morningmaster, High Morningmaster and *Sunrise Lord may be used by certain Churches. In other Churches, simply titles of Priest, Bishop and Cardinal are equally employed.

Followers of the Morninglord are often referred to as Dawnwatchers.

How to Join

The Churches of the Morninglord always leave their doors open, even at midnight. For it is known that during the storm of heartache, the blessing of the morning sun may rise to cleanse away the tendrils of shadow – something that may happen at any point during a Dawnwatcher’s life.

Every morning at Dawn, the Church of the Morninglord will allow services to begin half an hour before the sun rises, and half an hour after it has risen. This is the primary service, although occasionally a service of extreme importance might begin at Dusk and end at Dawn, as if the Dawn will bring the resolution to the conflict.

Many Churches of the Morninglord are also Orphanages.
