Invitation to the Malkardis Estate

Summary

Invitations were sent out to Reynard, Elaana and Charsen to attend a ball at the Malkardis estate. They were offered noble clothing and a proper estate dinner if they attended. No immediate explanation was given for the reason behind the invitations.

When they arrived, Reynard, Elaana and Charsen did not interact much with each other, but tried to find out why they were invited as politely as possible. As it turned out, Korovan Malkardis wanted them to guide his nephew, Kadar to an ancient ruined city to recover an artifact. They would act as bodyguards for Kadar and they would be paid roughly 300 gold pieces for their services.

They accepted the proposition even though they expressed concerns over the real purpose to each other. Prior to this dinner, Charsen, Elaana and Reynard did not significantly know each other.
