Day 1 Thoughts on Elanna
Elanna is a mystery to me. I have watched her since I first met her, at first out of curiosity. Where could a woman filled such such composure and serenity have come from? Her Golden hair shines like the Warmth of the Morning Sun... She seems to glide as she walks, as if her feet were blessed by the very earth beneath her.
I wish I could ask her about herself, but I think such questions would be quite improper, and the last thing I would want to do is to offend her. Instead, I find myself bringing her fresh Morningbread, which I prepare before Dawn, and cook as the Sun Rises. Such breads are considered Blessed by the Morninglord, and giving her blessed food is the best gift that I might be able to offer.
For most of my life, I have gone on early evening walks into town before the Dusk prayers. I love to speak with the villagers and to know that everything is well with their lives, even if they are not Dawnwatchers. I believe the Gundarakites are good people, though still quite superstitious and pagan in their ways, perhaps a bit wary of the Church, but I trust that in time they will think of me in a better Light.
Lately, instead of simply walking through town to speak with Vlad and Heda at the Inn or visiting with the locals, I have found myself walking up toward Elanna’s home to make sure that she is Safe. I’m just worried about her because some of the locals consider her to be some kind of half-demon, half-beast… magical unholy being. I’m not sure why they would think of someone so obviously Blessed by the Morninglord to be of unholy nature, and I worry that they might try to harm her for it.
