The group rested the rest of the night and waited for the dawn. Dawn brought the creaking sound that the group had heard before but it appeared that there would be multiple of the magical flying machines. The group prepared for the onslaught and moved the gnomes away from the ruins.

As the first of the flyers appeared, Gunter Von Hiesenberg III had prepared a break enchantment spell to see if it could bring down the flyers. But first the group launched spells at one of the flyers. Some of the lessers spells bounced off the flyers but a couple got through and the group could discern smoke eminating from the flyer. The flyers fired back with a long lance which was attached to the flyers, that and a fireball spell caught Faera-Bael and seriously wounded the druid. Others took damage as well from the lances.

Rommel Von Helsing had been looking for the group of gnomes. He had been told aand moved to see what was occurring. In the meantime Gunter Von Hiesenberg III had cast his spell and promptly dropped one of the flyers out of the sky. kelana was shooting arrows at the flyers and papis fired off a more potent spell which killed the driver of one of the machines.

Rommel Von Helsing found the group and began to shoot at the flyers. Faera-Bael summoned a air elemental and it took down another of the flyers. Eventually all the flyers went down and the group then looked at Rommel Von Helsing for he was wearing his weasel mask. Faera-Bael ordered the air elemental to attack Rommel Von Helsing for he didn’t know who this guy was. Gunter Von Hiesenberg III spoke to the weasel masked character and soon tensions were down.

A conversation ensued mostly between Gunter and Rommel as to what the situation was. The group was moved to the river bank in hopes that the boats would be soon taking the Gnomes to a safer place. Instead a boat came down the river with what looked like sailors from Firenz. The group hid and watched the boat sail by and land within sight of the group. The sailors were making night camp. The group snuck up and ambushed the that sailors who failed to put up much resistance. The boat was large enough to bring the gnomes over in two groups. However it was a sailing boat and not a rowing vessel. Nobody had much experience in sailing such a craft, however Rommel Von Helsing felt that he could handle the rudder and took a group across the river also carrying papis and Vanion. He eventually got to the other shore and unloaded the gnomes and began to return. About a third of the way back he was spotted by another boat who hailed him and pulled up beside him. A party of ten sailors looked at him and asked what was the problem. Rommel Von Helsing reply was very weak and the other crew began to board him. He went to the lance and flamed the crew and other boat and jumped overboard and began to swim to the shore.

The group was split.

The group containing Gunter, Rommel, Kalana and Faera-Bael along with some 15 gnomes following the boat that was flaming along with the other boat. All that occurred was the fire was put out and the boats sailed swiftly away. The group stopped for the day and while putting together a dinner heard the sounds of horses. It was a group of five knights escorting a priest of Gond and a wizardly tpye. The group went back into action, destroying the the group without much damage to the group. It was discovered that Rommel Von Helsing brother was the dead priest of Gond.

After much discussion and research it was decided that the group of Gnomes and the heroes would be water walked across the river. The group crossed and eventually met the other group.
