Great to see this active again! Looking great!
Yes, I should make more effort to credit the art sources. It’s a courteous thing to do.
On most of the earlier pages, images were D&D, Assassin’s Creed, and some other video game promotional art. The more recent ones from Google image search, obviously used without permission. Something like Obsidian Portal does blur the lines on personal use, I admit.
I have a photography blog and people use images I made all the time on their own sites. Some people even post them on their own sites or go on forums pretending they made the images themselves! It doesn’t bother me, so I don’t have a problem with it. I uploaded them to the internet and understood what that meant for the life of that image. But yeah, it’s a little presumptuous of me to apply the same standards to other artists who may not feel the same way about it.
That said, when I know who made the image, I should credit them. I agree that’s just the courteous thing to do.
Yup, pretty much what they said. I followed your link at the forums and was pleasantly surprised to find such a well presented campaign. I’ve skimmed over it briefly but will definitely have to delve into it a bit deeper when I get the time. But from a strictly stylized standpoint, A+!
Superrats, looking really good!!
Was looking for an acknowledgements page to see where you got all these really great images. Looking forward to more!
I’m a little OCD with images. Probably 1/3rd of the time spent on the wiki was looking for images. T.T
Wow. On a whim, wandered on over to this campaign. This is pretty much the sort of thing I was aspiring to with my previous campaigns, a nice, clean look with appropriate in-game looks. Gamma World has made that easier on me, thankfully, but I thought things were going to be great upon seeing the font/greeting image.
I shall keep digging.
Superrats, your page is looking phenomenal!! The layout and visuals show you’ve put a lot of time and effort into making a great site. I’ve only skimmed a few pages but your campaign world is very enticing. Keep up the good work!
