Dark Wood
Unusually dark wood populated largely by assassin vines, goblins, spiders (swarms as well as giant variety), dire bats, worgs (near the river), owlbears and the occasional leucrotta. It lies between Offsite and Kalthar and houses Igoris, a thriving goblin town.
Its trees are huge as are their leaves, and the canopy so thick that sunlight rarely penetrates its gloom. It contains an accursed river of some sort as well as many different kinds of fungi, including the rare bluegen fungus. It also contains the yuirwood tree, which grow atop ancient and decaying specimens of the forest’s principle tree. They tend to grow atop trees containing the bluegen fungus.
Details and notes of the forest are found within the book_________. This book was taken from the Tsukai Academy library by Belisarius shortly before his suspension, as the library records indicated that it was a favorite of Tulken Eturius. It contained numerous notes in his own handwriting that were quite valuable in the Dark Wood.
