Genocron

Genocron

Genocron was an influential Mage and Thyrn cultist devoted to Cevriel in life, and an even more powerful sorcerer in undeath. In III-83 (988 A.S.) Genocron founded and ruled the Varthogall Magocacy in what is now the southern tip of Ulin. There he established trade relations with Avenon during the Oronian Dynasty and in time, won over the Emperors of Avenon to the Thyrn religion. Such was Genocron’s influence in those days that his followers believed him to have ascended to divinity. During the Demonspawn wars Genocron ravaged the lands of Mierodran with legions of undead forces. He managed to conquer the citadel of Ondur but was then confronted by the allied southern armies under Dwinovan. After besieging the conquered citadel, Dwinovan defeated Genocron in battle and banished his spirit to the plain of Avaskar.

In Lich form Genocron appears as a sallow, rotting corpse with red glowing eyes, tattered black robes and a long wicked looking scythe. In spirit form, Genocron is an ethereal blue-green amorphous substance containing the myriad horror stricken faces of those whose souls have been consumed by the undead lord. Many cultists devoted to Cevriel pay homage to Genocron who is remembered as the Lich-Lord of Varthogall Gnolls and necromancers tend to be drawn to Genocron.
