Halls of Egrith
fter the fall of Ondroth, Grendod of the clan of Egrith led his clan and the clan of Duroth to Mt. Amadan to avoid the clan wars being waged in the southern regions. There over the course of a few centuries the Dwarves carved out the massive Halls of MierEgrith. Grendod aligned himself with Igladon politically, but he and his kin remained in their own Halls. MierEgrith grew and prospered through mining and trade, until the coming of the colossal dragon Githrost, who slew many a Dwarf and took over the Halls to make for herself a den. Survivors of the Dragon attack, most of which were of clan Duroth, traveled to Mt. Glorimar. Little of the original splendor remains of the once regal halls of MierEgrith in Mt. Amadan. After the coming of Githrost, many of the architectural features were “re-arranged” so as to make a comfortable dwelling for the dragon. For reasons that remain a mystery, the dragon died some few hundred years after claiming the Dwarven halls as her den. Unfortunately for the former inhabitants of MierEgrith, the rather large and imposing goblinoid clan of Herzaglob discovered the ruins uninhabited, and claimed it, and its treasure, for their own.
