Northgate
orthgate is Hidroth Lea’s northernmost town gate, and is set along the King’s Highway. However, locals often use the term to refer to the collection of businesses located just within, and without the north gate of town. The Gateway itself, along with the town wall, was erected a mere twenty years ago during the reign of Count Ildurand. The gateway has two large twin towers that allow for an excellent view of the surrounding territory. The gateway is always guarded by a set of six men-at-arms. A changing of the guard takes place every two hours so as to keep the men at a peak state of readiness. Most merchants traveling south enter Hidroth Lea through Northgate and from there make their way to Commonwealth Plaza.
