Odothian Ceder
his stately evergreen conifer grows throughout the northern mountain regions and is prized for its light, durable lumber. Odothian Cedars are straight and conical in shape, and grow to just over 100ft. They possess gray, corky, fissured bark and rich green needles that bear a slightly citric aroma, the oils of which are commonly extracted to use in soaps and fragrances. The heartwood of this tree is of a beautiful reddish brown, and bears a typical Cedar scent, even after drying.
