t the Height of the Mierodranian Empire, Ondur had been one of the three greatest of the Dwarven cities located within the Downs of Edigroth. The city was built upon the base of Mt. Glorimar, overlooking a deep valley basin carved into the land by glacial run off. Nearly a millennium ago Genocron laid siege to the city. Upon conquering Ondur, the Lich-Lord’s army of the dead consumed the city’s survivors, and spawned new undead soldiers to serve in the Demonspawn Wars. However, before Genocron could assemble his undead legion to assault the gates of Igladan, last of the great Dwarven cities of Mierodran, Dwinovar’s army fought their way to Ondur and overthrew the Lich-Lord. Dwinovar’s army destroyed the legion of undead, and exiled Geonocron’s spirit to the plain of Avaskar. After the War was over, some among the Dwarves thought to rebuild the city. However they soon found that the land was still under a powerful curse. The dead would not rest in their graves, but wandered the valley at night. In time all attempts to rebuild Ondur ceased, and the Dwarves abandoned the ruins to the dead, condemning the city and naming the basin the “Valley of Lost Souls.” Few have visited this unhallowed site since its abandonment.
