elcome to Age of Legends, a homebrew campaign setting I created for D&D 3.5e and Pathfinder. This site serves both as a Players Guide to the world of Age of Legends, as well as a hub for the campaigns that I am currently running within this setting. Since the format of this site is somewhat different than the standard Obsidian Portal campaign site, let me take you on a quick tour of the site, and explain some of the features that you may not be immediately familiar with.
The central feature of this site is the Main Page, or as I call it, the Athenaeum. An athenaeum is a library or reading room which is instituted to promote literary or scientific knowledge. Within the Athenaeum are contained the eight primary sub-pages of this site each of which represents a different area of knowledge about the setting. You have probably already noticed that there is a side bar on the left hand side of the screen that contains links to these same sub-pages, followed by a Dragon Emblem. The Dragon emblem is the distinctive mark of Age of Legends and it in turn links back to the Athenaeum. This side bar is located on nearly every page of the site so as to allow ease of access to the primary chronicles of Age of Legends. Within each of the sub-pages of the Athenaeum you will find one or more topics. Each new topic includes a heading, a picture, a list of related links, and a brief description of the topic. Sometimes the heading (and picture) will also be linked to a further topic wiki page which includes more information on this topic. At the bottom of each of these topic pages is a dragon emblem and a “Back” link which either leads back to the main sub-page, or if it is a “sub” topic page, back to that topic page.
