Last time the PC’s discovered an Evistro trapped in a magical cage. They weren’t aware of the nearby hobgoblins. The one in the masked area to the top right had some friends that would really test the party’s mettle.

The Evistro kept the PC’s busy while the archers attempted to flee. Scrag led the chase against them and got mauled when the archers called in reinforcements. The fight quickly shifted to the obelisk room where the warcaster named Granthar got very lucky with recharge rolls. So lucky the dreaded “TPK” was whispered more than once. In the end they managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat! Only to learn that not all named goblins carry loot….

Battered and low on resources, the party decided to attempt an extended rest. My experience as a player and GM has taught me when the player’s want to rest…you slap them around with an encounter instead! Who better to throw at them than the leader of the goblins, Sinruth himself?! Sinruth put up a pretty good fight, but Scrag’s dice were just brutal.

Banter

Sinruth: These? These are the fools that have been killing my Minions? 
    My next banner shall have the red hand painted with their blood!
Reginald: Really you don't need to paint your banner with the blood of all

After resting the party pushed forward, only to discover some undead who had been waiting for them…..
