The Spikes are the three large peaks that lie near the center of the Everdark Wood.  The middle peak, the largest, is also an active volcano with smoke constantly streaming from its top.  However, the volcano hasn't erupted for at least one hundred years.

The middle peak serves as the origin of the Rannmere River, which flows into Rannmere Lake near the town of Outpost.  The peaks are also home to giants, ogres, hobgoblins, and once served as the lair for the red dragon Avalokitasharan before she was defeated by the PCs.
