JohnM Struggled back to his feet, managed to dislodge his scimitar from the stones, and then concentrated on fending off any rats in his vicinity. (Total Defense, +4 to defense)
Seeing the icky ratblood on his sword, Ice opted to follow JohnE’s example and brought a crushing boot down on one of the scurrying nasties. The rat was patiently waiting for the big human to make his move, however, and made a horrendously loud squeak that caught Ice unawares. Ice wavered just before his heel came crashing down on stone, bringing tears (of pain) to the knight’s eyes. (ATK: rolled a 1)
Bex fires multiple bolts again, but the little (rat) bastards are too dang small, and too dang quick.
The remaining rats darted off into the darkness from whence they came.
JohnE grabas a retreating rat and swings it by the tail and chucks him into the nearest wall(Attk23: Dmg:8) killing it.

Ice frowned a bit at the thought of leaving Splug defenseless. “I’ll carry him around,” he offered. “It isn’t too much trouble for me anyways, and he could still be of use to us. Who knows, maybe he’ll feel indebted to us once he regains consciousness. If not and he decides to run off again or attack us, I’ll personally wring the wretch’s neck.” Ice then searched Splug’s inert form for any hidden items/weapons before hefting the gobbo up in a fireman’s carry.
“Alrighty, off we go then.”

“It would be better to let him meet Nomog-Geaya than lug him around half-dead,” Linora said. “I won’t be using my spells on him while there are those of you fighting against evil that need them.”

Ice will borrow somebody’s first aid kit and treat Splug’s wounds as best he can.
We can continue exploring after.

He’s in pretty bad shape. And he might have second thoughts when it comes to running away (again). His odds of surviving would probably be better if he stayed with us.
I’m with Linora. Splug made his choice to run, and paid the price. He’s not much use to us now, and I don’t see the value in dragging around a mostly dead bad guy. The smell of his blood will be a dead giveaway.
I say leave him and keep exploring… As previously, Ice can lead the way.
Is someone willing to carry him or stay with him until he regains consciousness?
Hey, at worst, at least we’ve a nice little sack of meat to appease any tentacled monster/giant rat horde that we might come across.

Ice hefted Splug in a fireman’s carry (Does that make him a fire splug?) and headed back toward the double doors and then past them. The passageway in this direction had also suffered a cave-in but the way was not entirely blocked (yet) so the Benders were able to carefully take careful steps to get to the other side. A zig and a zag later brought them to a T. To the left, the passageway was caved-in except that it looked like someone had cleared a path. To the right, the passageway stretched out into darkness.

Rigel is on his way. He’ll be able to find us. I’ll give him a little empathic nudge, but I want him to go slow enough to be safe.
