Genesai are afforded great respect throughout Kitara, but particularly in Kalamora. The genesai have always been willing to help other races when help was needed and there have only ever been rare, and highly isolated, instances of genesai criminals wreaking havoc in the world. The genesai are most heavily concentrated on the island of Chamorath, but can be found throughout most of Kitara.

The island of Chamorath is not so much a nation as it is a series of communities with a common purpose. The genesai do not think of themselves as belonging to one nation, instead preferring to keep their ties to a single city (usually the city of their birth, though not always). However, disputes among cities on Chamorath are rare, and when they do occur they are almost always minor in nature. The cities of Chamorath work cooperatively to patrol the sea around the island as well as the wilderness between communities, though these patrols tend to be minimal as few have ever had a bone to pick with the genesai.

During the Race Wars the genesai were a key member of the Aleatian Alliance. Though hard to anger, the genesai are among the fiercest of warriors on Kitara. In particular, the Coronal Guard proved devastating to the League of Merodrad during the wars. The genesai had long ago perfected the art of combining arcane magic with exemplary swordmanship and the ranks of the Guard were nearly impenetrable. Many believe that were it not for the genesai’s assistance in the Aleatian Alliance, the Race Wars may well have ended much differently.
