Every story is its own epic. Our stories are no exception. In the modern day, every stage show, every television show, every movie, every game, everything but the written word has its own commercial soundtrack (except, wait, they totally sell music to read by!). How is it that, in roleplaying, we get left behind?
This is an optional aspect to character creation I would like you to consider for your characters: write the climax to your story. If your character’s story was made into a big-budget Hollywood event, how would the climax of your personal story go? Would it be the true climax to the movie with an appropriate score by John Williams? Would it be a love scene with some romantic ballad by Elton John? Would it be a scene of being a total badass accompanied by Black Sabbath?
How does your story reach its peak? That’s what I want you to write, complete with musical cues. Write the scene and put a note in for where the music starts and at what point it starts (of course, separate the music with brackets, parentheses or something of that nature). If you’re in for a challenge, then do it side-by-side using a table. I’ll give an example of these within the next few days.
