Half-Orcs are fairly common in most human lands and cities. As one might expect, Orc raids on towns and villages result in a few Half-Orc offspring. However, this doesn’t account for the population level that exists. With their defenses and allies weakened by the events of the Dragoncoup long ago, some of the more desperate human settlements formed alliances with smaller Orc tribes. Combining human intelligence with Orc strength and cunning, the union was mutually beneficial to those who might otherwise have perished in the harsh aftermath. Half-Orcs have pread and grown in numbers ever since.
Half-Orcs can be as easily evil as good or neutral. Some have adapted to city life, while others gather in barbarous tribes, much like their full-blooded Orc ancestors. In any event, acceptance can be difficult in more sophisticate areas, like Cormyr and among elves. They do well as adventurers, mercenaries, pirates, and bandits. In the cities that accept them, Half-Orcs often make a living as part of the constabulary, militia, or other fighting force.
All Halforcs have the following stats and abilities;
• +1 strength, +1 constitution, -1 intelligence, -2 charisma.
• Dark Vision. This form of sight is black and white, but provides otherwise normal vision even in total darkness, unless it is magical in nature.
• +1 attack bonus when a fighting unarmed.
• Classes Permitted: Fighter, Ranger, Cleric, Thief. May multi-class Fighter/Cleric, Fighter/Thief, Cleric/Thief.
