Session 2 on June 10th 2012

We weren’t in a foreign country in a way I felt like it though. We needed to evade and we needed supplies to survive. Today ended rough for some but we were alive although some had had their morality or faith in society shattered. I felt like I was behind enemy lines, not because I was an escaped prisoner but because of the way people had been acting some were crazy and were biting while others were just crazy since they were just killing people at random. What had started on the bus wasn’t new it was happening all over the place we found out and it the populace needed to be contained and the threat quarantined. That meant this infection was spreading.
XP Awarded from the two sessions: 5xp (2 & 3)

If you asked me this morning if I’d be more concerned about if someone had a little cough or an opportunity to get out of jail as a fugitive that would probably not be caught anytime soon. I’d say hey, “Jailbreak yeah man.” I’d have been just as surprised as you that I am currently more concerned about that ‘little cough’. I’m not the one that had the cough but it’s defintely on my major concerns list so that I’m not dying… yet.
My name is Levon Jenkins, people call me C-Note, I’m currently a convict who was in transit to the regional prison medical facility in Midlands Texas which is part of this big regional prison facility program; that was until everything hit the fan and reality kind of seemed to have gone sideways on me.
I’m also staring down the barrel of a Glock 9 mm at two guys that look like a farmer and some tourist that have another convict pressed up against the wall while he tries to push them away with a shotgun before they bite him. There’s a dead or dying prison guard next to me and another one over a mauled prisoner eating his face. There was a camera man on the bus that looked pretty tore up but I just put a bullet in him so I’m not too worried about him currently trying to kill me. I know this probably sounds like I’m a really messed up guy trying to escape right? The back door to the prison bus I’m standing in still is open and swinging behind me… I guess I should explain a little bit more before you pass judgment on me, you are entitled to your own opinion but you should probably hear the whole story first.
Session paused due to time: Xp Award pending.
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!
While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!
The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!
Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.
One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.

The Jessup Corrections Facility is a medium security prison with a special case/transfer facility for temporary holdings in Eastern Texas. Prisoners from around the state are sometimes sent here to get access to specialized medical treatment, psychiatric care, or if they need to make regular visits to the nearby medium-sized city. Prisoners awaiting trial are also housed here. It is also the facility that often hosts reporters, documentary film crews, etc… They have been on psuedo lock down for several days due to outside activities, but communications into the prison have been restricted.
Many corrections officers have called in sick, resulting in a lower staffing level. After a couple days of limited activity, a high-profile judge has ordered that court cases resume even though there are some medical emergencies cropping up around the county and state. Hence a resuming of transportation with a skeleton crew of security.
It started on a prison transport bus enroute to the courthouse/police station. During the 2 hour drive, things are going down. Yeah, its was recipe for disaster but an opportunity good or bad is still a chance to survive.
