Sakra is THE major city on the planet of Tiengong. Since the planet is named after the Taoist “Jade Emperor” and since the planet has vast deposits of Tiengong Jade, this city is named Sakra – the Buddhist version of “Jade Emperor” – and is located on the largest island on the planet.

The inhabitants of Sakra have a strong desire to improve and progress. If the population of Sakra is presented with an idea that is new, unusual, or contrary to local precedent, they take a progressive social outlook: they believes change to be good and healthy. They readily accept promising new ideas. Society in Sakra is changing and in a state of flux. They are advancing with a fair measure of drive and definite measurable progress exits.

When faced with the thought of forcing themselves on others, the residents of Sakra are passive. The population prefers inaction to the use of force, and they will actually pursue every other option before using force. For Sakrarians their calendar is constructed on the basis of the odors of flowers which come into bloom at different times of the year. One odd thing that the entire population of this city practices is that no citizen of this city will pay any taxes at all—Period. Finally, the most unusual custom that has been observed is that the respected Sakra Institute of Science and Technology has a most unusual contract requirement: in order to be on the academic staff of the most prestigious learning institution on the planet, the faculty member must be a vegan—all professors and deans can’t touch meat!
