Recoil
Game Notes:
Fuego zipped down the enormous metal bridge and Kraken decided to check out the water's edge. Shadowfist and I stayed with the Doc. Tense situation as we knew it was only a matter of time before Destroyer's goons showed up. While I was watching Fuego spark off into the distance (gotta admit, that was cool), Shadowfist redirected my attention to one of those domes that was close by. There was a flash of light from the sky to the dome, and then the dome wall burst open and a figure leapt way up, and then came down about 300 yards from us. Considering the calibre of mean mofos we'd seen come out of those domes, Fist and I decided to hide. Not very heroic, but I'm quickly finding out I'm not quite ready for Prime Time here. Especially when Fist and I realized it was that freak Grond who was leaping into the air to hit the waves. And then he started swimming away from us. What a relief.
It wasn't long after that we saw the living squid, Kraken, being chased by some huge fish. We saw Grond get swallowed by the fish. What a good day it would've been if that were the end of it for him. But the fish couldn't keep Grond down, and he went right on swimming. Kraken managed to get back to us "heroes" under the bridge. We hadn't heard from Sparky, so we decided under the bridge was as good a place as any to rest up. Eventually, the non-hispanic, non-fire powered, El Fuego showed back up and let us know some of Destroyer's fanatics were guarding the bridge. Great. Did I mention there were no support beams for this bridge? So we couldn't even travel under the bridge to avoid detection. Shadowfist and I decided to take first watch while the others slept. Good thing he was around, as I couldn't see anything in the pitch black "night." But it didn't stay black for long.
Fist and I got ambushed by some of Destroyer's robots. I got a few solid hits in, but it wasn't long before the constant vibration my powers cause knocked me out. I'm really gonna have to do something about that. I woke up in time to help Fist and Kraken finish the bots off. I have a feeling we're all going to be relieved when we can get back to knocking common street thugs heads together. If we ever get back that is.
After the ambush we decided to head to Grond's abandoned dome as Destroyer was likely tracking the robots we took care of. Squid-man carried us, then he and Fuego took watch while Fist and I caught some Zs. "Daylight" came like the darkness before it. As if someone hit a switch. We were partaking off the fresh water and a deer-like thing (god I hope I don't get sick from that) when a tracked robot came into the dome. At first we were afraid it was one of Destroyer's bots, but it just re-filled the water and loaded some grass in a barrel. Kind of like you would fill a pet's bowl. It ignored us and went on its way. The group briefly discussed the plan to cross the bridge when the Doc told us about Destroyer's troop movements. Gotta say, the guy is handy to have around. He made another healing device, this time it was one that could work at range. Anyhow, we decided now was the time to cross that bridge, wherever it leads it had to be better than this place.
We went after the food and water robot to have some fresh water for our trip. Then we rushed back to the bridge and Kraken said he could probably swim us much faster than carry us. I just hope he can swim faster than those giant fish.

Game Notes:
Any hope that I'm going to get out of this place alive is quickly going down the crapper.
I was able to check out the metal bridge. Now, keep in mind that I can go about as fast as a 737 when I'm traveling as electricity, and I was scouting down that bridge for hours. There's just no end to it. Of course, Destroyer's minions are already swarming around the damn thing so any chance that that's our "exit" went down the tubes.
By the time I got back the rest of the guys were tired and spooked – I was too – so I took a nap under the bridge while Shadowfist and Recoil kept an eye out.
I'm not sure what went wrong, but it did. I woke up to the sound of gunfire. The rest is hazy but I remember moving up through the bridge and getting my ass kicked by five robots. Everything after that is a blur. We headed to Grond's abandoned dome, I tracked down and zapped some food, turned it to jerky – now we've got food, water, and we're going to try to make it across the bridge. It's a suicide run, but so is staying here.
