Armor and Shields of Athas
Athasian Armor
Chaos Out of Order uses the DARK SUN ARMOR AND SHIELDS table and Armor on pages 42-43 of Dragon Magazine #319, May 2004, as well as both armours from Table 5-5 Athasian Armor Equivalants on page 56 and their descriptions on page 57 of Dark Sun 3.5, revision 6. The Dragon Magazine chiton armour statistics are for a full suit, while the Dark Sun 3.5, revision 6, chiton armour statistics are for a chiton breast plate (several smaller pieces interlocked as described). The two shell armours reflect different regional practices. Regardless, all armour will use the DONNING ARMOR table on page 41 of Dragon Magazine Issue #319.
Athasian Shields
Chaos Out of Order uses the DARK SUN ARMOR AND SHIELDS table and Armor on pages 42-43 of Dragon Magazine #319, May 2004.
Also approved is the camouflage armour from pages 54-58 of The Quintessential Elf, allowing it to be made by Athasian Elves rather than Wild Elves and Grey Elves as indicated.
