Children of Inheritance

Death is eternal and inevitable. Everyone must someday die, and to the gods our lives last only a moment. So why should it matter more if one person dies than if another were to? How can one death hurt more than the thousands witnessed before it? Only a fool would waste what little time they have grieving for those whose time has already passed. And only a fool would swear herself to a man who can’t see her life as more than a quick flash before him.

A lonely, pathetic fool.
