A city in western Pondross that exists for the Nation’s research and development. SDI Aleph was founded by Hunter Science Council, an organization of academics and technorati, and stands for Scientific Development Instituion. It’s use of “Aleph” is part of the academic organization’s location naming convention’s “counter suffix” (and suggests an intention among the Council of establishing more SDI’s, in the future). SDI Aleph is commonly referred to as Science Town.

SDI Aleph has the highest level of technology known to Cellyna, wherein most standard functions of a town have been automated. That, and it being the only community to have mastered regular use of electricity, has established it as a “city of the future”. Indeed, most modern comforts found throughout the region were developed in SDI Aleph, and sold by the Pondrossa Exchange Commission. Pondross’ government funds SDI Aleph to an extent, though the need for any funding is minimal, due to the town’s harnessing of The Stone’s apparently limitless supply of energy.
