Victorian Age Wraith: the Oblivion
The City is of Night, but not of Sleep;
There sweet sleep is not for the weary brain;
The pitiless hours like years and ages creep,
A night seems termless hell.
Welcome, Poor Soul
The caul has been lifted and you find that you remain, that death was not the final end. You find yourself in a twisted echo of the gas-lit alleys you once knew; they seems familiar, and yet not at all the same. You know that you are not alone, but one of thousands who has departed one miserable life for the next, wandering in its shadow. Who got to you first? The Legion, the Rebels, the Heretics? What of your own desires and regrets, and those you left behind? For one thing has been made plain to you: if the Dead yet walk, what other monstrosities did you leave lurking behind your former friends, lovers, and enemies?
Would You Know More?
Currently we have one of four spots confirmed and two seats open besides for a once-monthly episodic campaign in C-o-H. We are looking for moderate to serious role-players who are excited about their characters and their stories, particularly interested in exploring themes of regret, vengeance, and tragedy. The setting is the Shadowlands equivalent of 1837 London, the dawn of the Victorian age, with all the grimness of the mortal world and then some. (Read more about the game’s Setting & Tone.) We will be defaulting to New World of Darkness rules when possible but relying on Wraith: the Oblivion concepts and Wraith: the Arising modifications when needed. Character Creation will begin with an interview about their life and death, and statistics will be calculated accordingly. (Read more about Character Creation.)
Does this sound like your kind of game? Maybe this is out of your alley somewhat, but you’d like to give it a try? Please contact lindevi on Obsidian Portal or Katrina on the Storm King Role-players Facebook Group.
