Setting & Tone
The year is 1837. In the Skinlands, this is the city of Dickens and Doyle, but in the Shadowlands, the Necropolis at London makes Poe and Swift seem like light fare. Wracked by the growing pains of the Industrial Revolution, the number of souls crossing over has not been seen since the last Great Maelstrom, be they victims of poverty, disease, labor conditions or a degenerate aristocracy. Wraiths struggle to come to terms with their fates as the Shroud begins to thicken, their Fetters made the all the more elusive, even as they attempt to juggle their duties to their Legion, their secret loyalties to their Guild, their commitments to their Passions and their susceptibility to their Shadow.
Character Creation
We will be using new World of Darkness rules mixed with the Wraith concepts, with some restrictions determined by the setting, that of Victorian-era London. Your best bet is to read pages 13-18 of Victorian Age Wraith: An Unofficial Guide for the Recently Deceased. I will be excerpting the most important bits here, but if you want some inspiration or additional options, feel free to read through the whole of the 38-page document.
