No, this is mostly catch-up work. I am unworthy of both cookies and rerolls! But I’ll do better from now on.
What more could we possibly want?! How about fresh-baked peanut butter cookies and a reroll for our over-achieving DM?! (Get a reroll! =) )
Boatloads of updates! Deities! Adventure Logs! Tag revisions that no one will notice!
What more could you possibly want??
Hm, now that you mention it, I guess things have kind of changed.
Now that the war is over, the alliance has no need for talents like ours, as they aren’t pursuing any type of military goals. We are still the Platinum Champions however, as that moniker has become something of a title given to all those who helped Amyria bring peace to the world. And we are still denizens of the mortal world’s regions that were brought together under the Coalition’s banner, so we are still a part of the Coalition, just not agents working to further its goals.
So what’s changed? Not a lot. We are still highly regarded in the world by everyone for the roles we played in the war, and we still have all our same influential contacts to rely on (Bejam, Haryssus, and others). However, we don’t take orders from the Coalition Council anymore. We’re following our own path, or possibly Amyria’s path depending on how you look at it.
laughs Well, it was a long time coming, but all is well. By the way, none of the Champions’re considered members of the Coaltition now, omiting Erdanen’s defecto membership by being mayor?
GOOD LORD I CANNOT BELIEVE IT TOOK ME THIS LONG TO FIND AMYRIA’S OFFICIAL ILLUSTRATION.
Wow. Just Wow. Digging some of the new things that’re happening on here, particularly “Saint Komè” and “invaluable to Amyria;” Really makes me feel like my personal investment to the character is paying off. Updated his stat block so you know what you’re dealing with for next session; Almost like I planned on four ability mods jumping up at 21st level, though I forgot Saint added a flat +2 bonus to the secondary defenses. Oh, just throwing this out there, Healing word targets two people, within 22 squares, granting me and all allies within 5 12THP >:-D Keep up the great work Sir Boesnath!
The front page doesn’t always display updates like I expect it to, so if you’re looking for new additions, try the following pages: Dispater, Gith, The Dawn War, and Hallmark Moments. New Adventure Log soonish.
Boesnath, I don’t mean to make things worse for ya, but I feel that in the most damaging attack, it should be noted that the 190 damage from Bugug was AFTER insubstantial. Stupid Rangers.
Idear for condensing the Gamer Achievements: Keep what we have now, add a few more achievements that we can build on, like saving rerolls, and add a cap for the number of achievements that can be earned in one session; the four-five we unlocked last time was insane for a shortened session! We could then add a Hallmark Moments page to the wiki. We would make a different one each month to keep THOSE from getting out of hand as well. There we would have each character write down 2-3 things they remembered and liked the most involving the interactivity of characters, i.e. Thoradin’s filibuster, which instead of being an achievement, would get posted by a player. Since the number of rerolls would be getting cut back from gamer achievements, you could award 1 from each player’s memories for a reroll. But the earned one can’t be given to someone’s own character. I have other ideas on this for a “Godroll” being awarded once per month to the most hilarious/memorable play in the Hallmark books.
Well, I’ll hold onto the vulnerability thing for awhile, then; or get a better one. Bressal idn’t so hellbent on his devious plot, but the thought’s there; I’ll look into it some more and contemplate if it’s ever going to be more than just a thought. Anything else you’d need for permasleep/instant death?
Yeah, that vulnerability would work great!
And as for the Shard of Evil, I checked. First of all, it’s price in the character builder is 0 gp, the same as any artifact – it’s priceless, rare, and impossible to find without a specific quest. Secondly, treasure parcels (even at 28-30th level) never include items above 30th level. So rules as written say you can’t find it lying on the floor somewhere.
As for Bressal’s devious plans, that’s a whole other campaign you’re thinking up. An epic campaign, but a campaign nonetheless. And Orcus doesn’t have it… that would be too easy.
PS~ Just read the part about the wizard! Let me know if ya need any help/another character to accent it. We should do a level 30 Orcus Delve for the Shard of Evil for Bressal’s devious plot.
Damage bonus… Like Komè’s giving enemies vulnerable 14 for 1-2 turns?
Hm, as my father used to say: “If you try to ‘win’ at Dungeons and Dragons, you’ve already lost.”
Still, it can be fun to make hilariously overpowered characters once in a while, especially for one-shots. Rangers are often cited as being the most broken of the strikers (with avengers being the least useful), so I wonder if it’d work better as a ranger or not. As for me, I’m working on making a wizard that can force Orcus to fall asleep with pretty much no chance of resisting, but it’s a work in progress. At 30th level, I can only get the save penalty to -12.
On the other hand, I’m looking to make a sort of “combo” attack for Erdanen. It would work better if I could find some kind of item or power that can give a character a damage bonus for one round. Any ideas?
So I had in epic thought. A though so epic, I had to walk 45 minutes to Taco Bell to put it out there for members of our fine group before it slipped my mind. Has anyone looked into the expandable feats? (i.e. Poison feats for assassin, Two-Weapon feats, and even Vampiric Heritage feats? They are ludicrously amazing when paired with a feasible class. For instance. I have made two delve characters using said feats, and found out some interesting things. I made a Daggermaster rogue for Adam’s delve, and multiclassed assassin for the poison feats. Being a daggermaster coupled with two spider-kissed daggers and the two-weapon feats, I have projected the ability to out DPR (Damage Per Round) Bugug, or any other Striker that has been produced thusfar near our level. Then I looked into an epic-tiered Vampire character. Great Balls of Fire. At level 30, without items and only one feat, he has a speed of nine, with stats through the roof. He is a human Swordmage. He has lived for centuries in isolation, sealed in a cave. Now he has been freed to the world, the last of his kind. Paragon Path: Bloodknight. Epic Destiny: Raven Knight. He can mark any number of enemies, then go invisible for the rest of the encounter. With his Aegis, this is bad for enemies. Any other research done?
Do not change the URL-friendly version of any character’s name under any circumstances. Odds are, I’ve linked to it from somewhere in the site, and changing it will break the link.
laughs I think I should actually take session notes before I try my hand at it, but I’d be more than willing to give the next one a wack. Unfortunately this week I need to go out of town with my buddy, and next week’s V-Day. Is there any way we could shoot for a different day this week?
You’re welcome to try your hand at writing them, otherwise I’ll get to it eventually.
Alright, went ahead and rated all current characters, and quite rigorously so. Also, boesnath, would you like help with adventure logs?
Notes for uploading information on your character pages! PLEASE READ
BIO is where you want to put all the story-related stuff about your character. DESCRIPTION is stats only, okay? The only thing you should put in that section is the copy-and-pasted text from the ‘character summary’ page that you can find in the DnD Character Builder program. It is imperative that you do not alter this text in any way once you’ve copied it from CB. If you do alter it, it will most likely become impossible to import it onto someone else’s computer without laborious work correcting it.
Long story short: DESCRIPTION section is for the text from the Character Builder “Summary” page. If you can refrain from putting anything else in there, then the text will allow me and anyone else to import and view your character on their own computer. So please do that.
Just had a brilliant thought.
I made a section under Gamer Achievements called “Titles.” If you can think of a new title that no one’s actually accomplished yet, suggest it here. If I like it, I’ll add it to the wiki article, listed as Unclaimed. If anyone claims it, they earn a reroll.
