FNLA
The National Front for the Liberation of Angola (Frente Nacional de Libertação de Angola) is an organization of Angolan freedom fighters under the leadership of Holden Roberto. Roberto formed FNLA in 1962 to oppose the Portuguese in Angola; after independence in 1976, FNLA continued to wage a guerilla war from bases in Zaire against the Soviet-backed MPLA in Angola.
