Into the Chasm they went, Sentinel, Grimm, Mariana, and Brother Tyler. The sickly green glow swallowed them from sight quickly.
A Ruin Elemental assaulted the group, claiming that they had trespassed its territory. Making fair quick work of the creature, the group searched for signs of the Lord of Blades, but the stone and glow made it difficult to tell much. In their searching though they find many useful items that had not been destroyed in the Mourning.
While investigating a noise in a ruined constabulary, they come across a pair of Mohrgs, the undead remnants of unrepentant mass murderers. Mariana commands one of them and the others destroy the second. Brother Tyler is uneasy about the control she holds over the creature, understandably.
In a rubbled church the group comes across a pair of three-armed giants, no doubt mutated in the Mourning. It is a hard battle, but with the paralyzing ability of the Mohrg, it is quickly over.
The Dread wraith in the park was much more difficult. Grimm was nearly killed by it’s deadly touch.

I’m not sure I’d believe what I’ve been told, it’s absolutely incredible. Again though, I trust my Captain, my lady.
In the wide avenue, that’s where the veracity of the account begins to waiver. A Living Spell engulfed the group, leaving out Brother Tyler. Some kind of Time magic, experimental spell, sent them spiraling 4 years into the past, two days before the Mourning.
The Lord of Blades and two of his cronies are here as well. A parade passes by, one that includes the entirety of Sentinel’s unit. He remembers that day well, it was their first time outside of the training complex, and they were marching in formation so well, through the city and out to the front lines. Three days later, they would assault a supply train that would turn out to be a refugee line.
Heading into the City, Mariana is directed to the Arcanix Annex, a small floating tower of wizards, for help with getting back to this time. There they meet Emmett of the Brown Robes, doctorate of Conjuration, who as it happens has been working on a spell for time travel. I don’t believe in coincidences.
The Lord of Blades vanishes into the city with his men, Mariana, Sentinel, and Grimm spend the next 24 hours searching for them. While out, Mariana and Sentinel are assaulted by a pair of men, easily subdued by their intended victims, the city watch arrived in moments to arrest the pair. Wanted for the murders of 22 Khoravar women with dark hair. Sentinel believes they became the Mohrgs fought earlier.
Spotting the Lord of Blades, a chase ensued, Fizzle was nearly killed by an adamantine bolt the pierced both wings and his chest. Scythe attacks Grimm again, revealing himself as the possessing entity from Thronehold, a ghost, and absolutely insane.
Losing them in the crowd again, they spend the night at an inn. Morg, the half-orc bard who would become First Mate of the Crystalfire is there. This explains a lot of the uneasiness. I knew he was hiding something! Mariana engaged his service 4 years ago to his mind.
The next day, the group headed to the Cannith enclave after hearing a rumor of extra warforged patrols around the walls, cloaked warforged.
Hiring a young Cannith artificer named Jules, Mariana prepared for battle with perhaps the deadliest warrior of our time with scrolls.
The party spends the night patrolling the House Cannith compound walls, utilizing a location spell focused on the Lord of Blades’ sigil. About halfway through their last location spell, it locks on to the sigil. 50 feet below the street. Remembering the digging that Sentinel and his unit had done near the end of the war, Mariana turned invisible and utilized a dimensional door scroll to come out in the tunnel below. Racing back along the twists and turns, we were able to find where they entered into. The potter’s shop on the main avenue. The potter was dead, cruelly murdered in his sleep. Perhaps the source of the dread wraith?
Chasing down the tunnel after the Lord of Blades and his cronies, the heroes enter the Cannith under foundry. A maze of deadly traps designed to catch anyone who was not either House Cannith or Warforged.
By the time the group caught up to him, the Lord of Blades was well on his way to readjusting the secret weapon Cannith had been working on. Held off by an arcane ballista and the warforged known as Siege, the group was unable to stop the destruction of Cyre. They were however, successful in getting Jules close enough to disable the Lord of Blades. Moments later, the world ended for the nation of Cyre. Casting the time spell from Doctor Emmett of the Brown robe’s scroll, the group found themselves back at the point they’d left. A grateful Living Time Shift pulsing a goodbye to it’s creator.
