Francis Holmes called Jason with a job, Grand Central Station had been taken by the empowered with civilians trapped inside. Gregor and Annabeth rejected the job but Jason accepted, with Flynn loyally standing by his side.

With Flynn’s help, Jason broke into the station and talked the empowered inside down. There were two inside, whose powers had gone Haywire and they decided to run with it as a reaction against the criminalisation of powers. There were two inside, a woman Jason spoke to and a man named Jonny that the party made no direct connection to.

Francis Holmes revealed that although he’s got no official power to resolve this, he’s willing to stick his neck out and sneak the woman inside out. He is not told about Jonny. They get everyone out of the station, the woman, Jason and Francis return to the Administation on Aging. Francis convinces the woman to try out working with him in a similar way to Jason.

Francis offered Jason a choice, he could either stay and be trained by the Administration on Aging or be given allowed to leave the country. Francis wants to keep is operatives spread out at the moment but Jason wanted to be given more training to continue working with the Administration. The party decided to go back to France, with Francis reluctantly agreeing to send everyone and not just Jason back.

Francis told Jason that flights were resuming the next day and gave them tickets. The party looked forward to an evening of peace and a stiff drink before heading home the next day.

The party went to source of the skeletons, the NYU stone. With a brief interlude in a temple apparently in the past the party destroyed the stone causing the skeletons to vanish. The party concluded that they would destroy the Cusco stone and leave the US.

Their plans failed because the Cusco stone was no longer where they expected and the United States responded to the skeletons by banning all flights out of the country. They also declared it illegal to posses a power without informing the authorities.

The party decided not to register themselves with the authorities and went to stay in the hotel provided. Gregor, Flynn and Jason each awoke with a besuited man or woman armed with the newspaper reports where they destroyed the house and service station. They were each then offered a position working with The Administration on Aging. The man, Fancis Holmes, tells them that he is trying to recruit the empowered rather than criminalise them.

Jason responded well and agreed, Gregor denied everything and Flynn’s power went haywire causing the man and woman to sedate him and extricate him from the hotel. When he awoke, he was free to go.

After the exhibit, Alex tried to change his face back to his own only to wind up as “pulsating walnut” that seemed to be quietly muttering the same sequence of numbers as before. As they came to terms with this, the party found they had a few leads to follow up:
Amaya Inc. who own the exhibit turned out to be a company that buys other companies as they are going under and sits on their assets until they become valuable. At first glance they just seem to be Venture Capitalists, but they do seem to be particularly interested in South American historical artefacts. They bought a company, DC Logistics 2 years ago and found the exhibition materials in a warehouse. There is no evidence to suggest that they knew DC Logistics would own them beforehand though. They are based in Washington DC.

Marleen Langley is a historian who specialises in the Incas. She started her career looking into myths of supernatural powers among the Incas, then disgraced herself by pursing them again later in her career. She was later head hunted by Amaya Inc. to curate their exhibition. The evening of the party’s visit to the Cusco stone she had all her research stolen from her home but she was able to tell the party that NYU had a similar stone on display. While the Cusco stone didn’t have any folklore surrounding it, this one was supposed to be able to raise the dead.

Going to visit this stone, the party found the police had apparently come and told the university to close their exhibition and taken away NYU’s South American History Expert, Marcus Salt.

Annabeth snuck into the exhibition and found two men in suits examining the stone, eventually finding whatever they were looking for and saying “Great, now we just need to bring it back and insert it.” After attacking them and finding nothing on their bodies, the party decided that it must have been a space to insert into rather than something to insert elsewhere they found. It seemed that they had some connection to the Federal Agency The Administration on Aging based on the only number in their mobile phones.

Researching Marcus Salt threw up shockingly little information, very few articles and none of them hosted by NYU. They decided to break into NYU’s library the next day and see if they could find hard copies of Langley and Salt’s work.

That night they all shared a dream where they watched a group of explorers fighting the undead in a temple around the new stone. They woke up to see what appeared to be animate skeletons walking the streets of New York…

Annabeth Quinn:
Locked in questioning room on her own for a couple of hours, apparenlt forgotten about.
Questioned by FBI, accused of having iregularities in her passport details.
Kept overnight and not allowed to make phone calls.
Released in the morning, everything apparently ok.
As she is being released sees the young Chinese man Jason had talked to on the plane being forcibly led away by soldiers.
In hysterics he suffers a Haywire event, loses control of his power and electrocutes the soldiers.
The soldier escorting Annabeth gets her out of the way and proceeds to kill the Chinese man.
Annabeth is offered counselling, turns it down and is then released.
Makes her way to hotel where a voicemail informs her that the others have headed to the museum.
Heads to the museum and meets the others during its evacuation.

Everybody else:
At the museum they come to on the floor and find that everybody in the room had collapsed.
All of the pottery in the exhibition starts to melt and forms into a half dozen people shaped constructs.
The stone golems grab weapons and start to attack people, mass panic ensues. They also move to guard the Cusco Stone.
The group try to attack the golems. gregGregor tries to use his power to turn one to sand after tackling it, the attempt somehow reflects back on him and transforms the top of his shoulder into sand. Not surprisingly is extremely painful.
After guards respond and one is killed Flynn takes the gun and aids them in taking out the golems.
After managing to take the golems out the group escape in the chaos, meeting up with Annabeth in the process.

Arc 2, Session 1

After a relatively uneventful transatlantic flight from Paris to New York the group were immediately confronted with the real world impact of Emergence, in an effort to maintain a semblance of control the US had shifted significantly towards an isolationist driven foreign policy. This was readily apparent at immigration control, with soldiers were deployed in order to boost security levels. Alex and Annabeth were both selected for enhanced screening, while the remainder of the group were granted visas and allowed through. Enhanced screening for Alex and Annabeth consisted of a series of interviews and further checks. For Alex the interview turned out to have been a setup, allowing FBI Agent Samuel Jacobson to palm him a micro SD card before letting him on his way. Annabeth however was not so lucky, after being removed from the immigration queue she was led to an interview room and left, unattended for a number of hours.

Having been released from custody Alex made his way to the hotel before contacting Jason so they could look at the SD card. On it was a digital copy of the flyer for the American Museum of Natural History, advertising the “History of Spain in South and Central America” exhibition and in particular one artifact known as The Cusco Stone. With no sign of Annabeth, and no way of contacting her, Alex, Jason, Gregor and Flynn made plans to investigate the museum the next day.

Arriving at the museum the group had no issue finding the stone and upon reaching it found themselves apparently thrown back in time to the Battle of Cusco in 1533. In front of them was the Cusco stone, surrounded by Incan priests and atop it a freshly sacrificed body. As the priests dropped to their knees in apparent worship of the group Alex, attempted to revive the sacrifice, succeeding but only by drawing the life from two of the priests. Enraged, or possibly delighted, the head priest drove his knife once more into the heart of the sacrifice, killing him for the second time. Stepping forward to overlook the battle occurring below them the group all felt a familiar power, that of an em empowered, as the priest began to call down lightning. As the night lit up with the flashes of electricity history faded away again and the four found themselves back in the museum, lying on the floor around the Cusco stone.

CorPow episode 1
Party drunk glass turned to steel coppers call taken away.
After 6 months powers overcharge then Flynn encounters a “friendly” guard who warns him.
Lots of equipment stamped with GB31
Get woken in night by Flynn doors been unlocked only 1 guard. Start running. Guard is beaten to near death. Run dodge guards. Alex liquefy guard behind door we don’t see. I see it faint. Grab taser leg it. Turn wall to clay panic a bit run see Alex legs grow massive tall I keep running. Jump out of 1st floor run into rest of group Annabeth glowing but fading.

We get a van head to services near Oxford steal cash. Head to 24hr tesco buy clothes food. Jason gets laptop on but has caused it to encrypt the data.

CorPow Episode 2 – return of CorPow
Stop at Exeter service station grab coffee guy may have seen inked notes. Alex also awake. Carry on early sun rising. Pass through post bridge village co-ordinates lead to farm house.

Farm house empty has security sensor near door all unlocked see envelope addressed to group I start making coffee rest come n Alex opens envelope. This is safe house 2 days time package at post office for Daniel Williams signed D. John has shown laptop to Beth and Jason.

I find a master bedroom and go to sleep. Jason takes walk Alex moves car and Flynn checks out house for security measures. Quite secure. Finds garage 4 quad bikes and a generator but not on. Beth watches news report on TV NR6 of robbery. Jason causes earth to rise where he walks. Tries to fix it.

Wake up duvet turned to plastic I chuck it off it smashes wakes Alex he has long blonde hair guys come up Jason tells us about his power in yard. There were riots in area where we escaped from and area was closed off find out about Flynn robbery.

Go for walk look round ground, Beth makes pancakes. In field when van arrives at high speed into yard. 2 escaped prisoners guy and girl ones called Eric and Scandinavian. One of them has gravity control. Want proof we are like them Beth turns invisible to prove we are. Eric very nervous hob explodes. I tackle girl.

Session 3
Alex is/in a fleshy box. We calm Eric and girl down send Eric out to van. Beth not in good way mentally. take her to couch. Make tea. Talk distribute tea. We go to bed or watch TV. In morning crazy people head out after breakfast. Flynn, Jason and I head into village pick up package. On way back to house Flynn de-constructs wall Jason tries to prevent and blows up building injuring 4 and getting us caught on camera phone. We scarper quickly. Meanwhile Beth makes toast and causes toaster to go solar brightness. Unplugs everything and goes outside to sit and wait. Plays with hand light.

We tell Beth about stuff and go in to get stuff to move. Jason goes to collect cube toast and laptop drugged by metal spider. We make sandwiches do some washing up. Flynn finds Jason unconscious gets gun I spot spider fight I turn it to glass Flynn shoots it. I collect Jason and cube. We drive to place called Morgan Hampstead stop at pub get food and drink. Phone D he tells us he works for anti gb31 group wants us to join them. After smart ass discussion we agree. 1st mission to find Gordon Howell a researcher from gb31 and get him.

We drive through night taking turns. When we get to Anglesey its after midnight sleep in van. In morning we go to guys house its been broken into and his office has been ransacked. Find a Dictaphone with recording of break in guy said to Chester we text D to update him. We drop into library Beth checks out forums for any news, finds report of exploding house killed 1, and signs of abductions. There has been resurgence of powers over last few days across Britain not as many in Europe or us.

We head towards Chester discuss our powers and names if we were superheroes. Light lass, Geodude, The Alchemist, The cube and Flynn. Beth tries experiments with her powers. So does Flynn. We get to Chester find gb31 office Beth goes in to “ask directions”

Session 4
Beth does not emerge after a while we head round back dissolve door and start fighting guards. We rescue Beth and Gordon. He was researcher quit 4 months ago then was contacted by D offered job so he logged into his old gb31 account and then got abducted. Beth has been told if she doesn’t hand us in within week they will kill her friend. Phone D arrange to meet Beth and I go in she recognises i’m as from gb31. We bug out head to service station and arrange to meet him there in public.

Meeting happens find stuff out D starts leaving and is gunned down as place is stormed. Jason brings the building down I steal a car charge group holding Jason catch him on windscreen Beth and I start pulling him in while being shot at. Flynn goes to find cube. We get everyone and bug out in car.

Session 5
We drive nearest town ditch car Alex is back starts spouting numbers once on bus he snaps out of it enters numbers into laptop 67509846-6532156248-958065332-1121804756-54676987-88-5423658. Alex notices gun wounds tells driver to take us to hospital fixes Jason. We steal some clothes get new phone panic about possible tracker in Beth We phone D head to meet get checked out no tracker. Taken away in his 4×4 get given new task to meet some empowered in bollington. Marcus Diane Gus and Adrienne get their phone number. He leaves we keep car. We head to bollington pick up people. Abody piles in. Car stops all black powers discharge.

Session 6
we are stuck in swamp turns out to be in bubble of asphalt get out eventually. Adrienne missing legs. Once clear Alex fixes her. We walk to airport drop off others I piss off Alex We discharge powers get given car go to save people. Track guy down make them pull over. I take beating dodge car knives and car pudding lock then fall over asleep. Save them leave them behind.

Session 7
Drive away get off motorway. Get new clothes and bandages head into York try yo get train to Huddersfield stopped by police escape steal car. Drive to Huddersfield Call D to arrange meet they tell us Beths friend in trouble gonna pick her up and get her to safety. Meet D get new car and fake passports head to channel tunnel get across fine meet up with Diane.

Session 8
6 weeks pass.. several groups have passed through the farm but moved on to other countries. We all have been experimenting with powers to various degrees of success no flares up or headaches while around the farm D tells us that its due to farm being at balance point and that its only place they know like it (probably lying). New D appears apparently French special forces to train us in basic survival and combat skills. Madam D turns up toward end of downtime and invites us for a talk. We get mission to head to new york. First head to paris for training mission. Various shenanigans in the louvre. Then head to airport in morning.

Session 9
Get papers for alt ids and fly over from paris to jfk. Customs has soldiers stationed at each booth beth gets pulled aside, alex as well rest of us head to our hotels. Alex gets interrogated by an Agent Jacobson. Gets given a sd card meets up with jason for drink and to hand over card. Jason contacts us all to meet at History of Spain in South and Central America Museum of Natural History. Following day we meet up at the museum. No word from beth. Stone in exhbition altar stone theres also some mention of a spanish inquisition guy. See other 3 collapse then I go to black see just them and stone. Smell of blood and vomit a body with a wooden spear through it appears. Alex touches it. We see cusco sounds of battle around us. Raising the dead, no one expected the spanish inquisition and then mexican thor suddenly back in museum.

Session 10
Beth aka Sofia gets questioned shes not a terrorist shes a librarian. She doesnt have a criminal record she works with books so she doesnt have to steal them. About to be released then Chinese guy from plane starts arc electricity from from lights.

Meanwhile in the museum we all come round from our trip to the past. Randomers also unconscious. Clay Golems! Spear golem bellows gods have been reawakened the time has come. Combat stuf im wounded. Golem obeys Alex. Once we get clear head to Flynns hotel. Get meded. Flynn gets call from uk to say return daughter in trouble.

Session 11
Beth and Jason do some research on the cusco stone. Was owned by company called DC logistics then company was bought by amaya inc including the stone. Jason finds info on stone recovered from Mexican jungle that had power to raise dead (Craig savage worlds game-damn him) . Alex is now a walnut. Beth and Jason go speak to woman who studied the stone. Flynn and I hang in deli down street. Woman’s files, research and comp stolen last night she works for amayan inc. We head to university where there is another similar stone. The exhibit is closed due the incident in the museum and the expert prof Marcus salt on the stone has been taken away by the police for questioning. Beth gets locked in uni museum. She sees some guys playing with stone they pull something out to stick in other one and head out to car. Flynn pops a tire. I gas a guy and then chloroform a guy with a bus ticket. It would appear they werent taking something but found had slot for something. We track call was from AoA totally not a cover. Walnut is repeating numbers again. We plan a library heist. We all have dream of craigs final battle in pyramid and wake up to screaming in street. Skellingtons in the street.

• The group spent ~6 weeks recuperating at the farm house, during which time they were able to learn a bit more about their abilities.
• The local incarnation of Dee informed them the farm was located at a balance point, a location where powers were easier to control. He claimed it was the only one known to the Department.
• With many of the empowered leaving to other secure locations nearer their home countries the group were given three options: stay at the farm, return to Britain or head off to New York on a mission for the Department.
• Accepting the offer of a mission they were first told to head to Paris for some training.
• The training consisted of placing audio surveillance bugs near the security posts in the Louvre Museum. Annabeth made the job look easy through use of her power while Flynn put his military training into use and also made the job look relatively easy.
• Jason managed to stumble into another individual who also seemed to be casing the museum. After leaving the group was then threatened by a car full of thugs, who warned them to ‘stay off of our turf’.
• The mission successful the group were handed their alternate passports and tickets to the US where they were told another Dee would be in contact.

Dear Chris,

We’ve had some time to pull ourselves together and have now been asked to start working for the organisation who have helped us – they call themselves The Department. They’ve asked us to go to the natural history museum in New York – don’t know why yet.

First though, they sent us on a “low risk” training mission. This involved planting bugs in the Louvre museum. Our contact said if we got caught, we’d probably be arrested. I’m not looking forward to high risk missions.

I’m not entirely comfortable with this, being around people doesn’t feel that safe and it doesn’t look like there’s an end in sight. Someday though, I’ll come home.

GM Recap Session 7
End of Part One
The party left the scene of the fight and called D. D told them to meet him in Huddersfield where he had a set of fake passports for them. They stopped off to apply some first aid to themselves and change their clothes, phone’s sim card. They also discovered that the events of the night before where Jason destroyed a service station had been misreported as entirely their fault, not mentioning the attack and blaming them for 30 deaths. It mentioned Flynn, Gregor and Jason by name, connecting them with the earlier house explosion.

While waiting for a train from York to Huddersfield the party were approached by a pair of police officers who asked them to come quietly for a conversation. The party agreed and a few minutes later the police returned in force. Using Annabeth’s power to render themselves invisible they escaped and stole a car to drive to Huddersfield instead.

On the way they had a telephone conversation with D who told them that The Company had attempted to kidnap Annabeth’s friend Joanne Taylor, previously threatened by Kitty Gish. She had been saved but it was clear that she could not reliably be protected in her every day life. They agreed that the best course of action would be to take her into protection. Other operatives are sent to d othis, thoug hAnnabeth calls Joanne to inform her.

The party went on to meet D who gives them new passports with false names and another, less stolen, car. They drove to London and get on board a train to France. Dianne and Gus met them in Calais and lead them to a farmhousein the countryside. Here all the empowered agreed to take on work for D were together. It seemed that this was an opportunity to rest and recover from recent events.

After the power explosion at the end of last session annabeth found her power seemed to have vanished. This meant the group had to work in the dark as they got out of the sinking car.

Eventually they established that they were trapped in a dome made of road on a previously absent swamp. They escaped and found the child Adrienne’s legs had disappeared. Alex blamed himself and after some deliberation used his power to bring them back. The group then walked the rest of the way to the aerodrome.

D met them there and offered an option to come on a plane to France or to go and rescue a group of empowered who were being transported to the company’s second UK holding centre. The party chose to go and perform a rescue. Diane, Marcus, Adrienne and gus got on the plane.

Catching up with the van transporting the captured empowered on a motorway they maneuvered in front of it and annabeth discovered her power had returned by blinding the van’s driver causing a crash.

Both vehicles pulled over and Gregor approached 2 of the car’s occupants while they examined their engine. An unfortunately timed failed power use caused them and the driver to start attacking him.

Alex used the car to crush the guards into the van behind them while Gregor and Jason opened the back. There they found another guard armed with a shotgun and Eric with his two companions captured.

Jason created a wall at the back of the truck and Flynn fused the locks of the driver’s cab shut. This resulted in a stand off in which the shotgun user shot one of their prisoners and Jason created a wall to prevent any one else passing by seeing what was happening.

Flynn tried to use his power inside the van, achieving something unknown before the driver was hurled out of the van and Jason removed the wall to find Eric restraining his guard. Eric then shot him dead with the shotgun.

Alex used his medical training to stabilize the wounded guards and his power to recover the empowered who had been shot. He also called for an ambulance.

Between lack of space in the car and annabeth’s aversion to Eric they decided it would be best to give them money and d’s number before parting ways with Eric and co again. The party then drove off leaving a destroyed van, 1 corpse, 3 wounded and who knows how many witnesses.
