Common Tongue
The Common Tongue, also called the Old Language, is the universal language used primarily in the Phthyan Empire, and is based on the classical (Ionian) alphabet. This is the language most used by the commoners, peasantry, slaves, soldiery and merchants of these vast lands.
Note that Freespeak is a unique tongue developed primarily for trade and basic communication within the various peoples and nationalities of the Free Kingdoms. There are no similarities between these languages.
